Chirandu Farm is a thriving small vegetable farm owned and operated by Marcey and Precious Guramatunhu, two sisters of African heritage in the heart of Dickerson, Maryland. In pursuit of their dream tea house, Marcey and Precious unexpectedly discovered their passion for farming. Started in 2020, Chirandu grows a variety of vegetables including some African specialty ethnic food crop such as okra, maize, and horned melon using regenerative farming practices. Marcey and Precious aim to become a certified organic producers and continue to make Chirandu a meaningful farm that celebrates cultural connection, sustainability and shared experiences through food.
