Amaranth Acres is a 7 year-old family-owned vegetable farm and fruit orchard located in Dickerson in the agricultural reserve of Montgomery County, MD. Indhu and her husband Vijay grows fresh, organic ethnic South Asian Vegetables including Indian, Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh and some Chinese vegetables are almost impossible to find in this area. They follow the principles of organic farming and avoid using pesticides and chemicals that would take away from the natural taste of the vegetables and fruits. Growing these vegetables and making it accesssible is one of the goals of the farm.
